Summer Pasture

It's been a busy summer here at the Prairie Hill Farm Studio. Not so much as I'd like with the artwork, but many things vying for our attention. We finally had a nice reprieve with the high temps and humidity and are "basking" in the 70's-80's during the day and 50's at night! Wonderful stuff, but we'll be back to the 90's in a couple days.

This makes for a window of opportunity if you like painting en plein air, except the Deer Flies are really getting annoying. I finally got a chance to spend a better part of a day painting the pasture out front. Love the summer fair weather skies.

I'm hoping to get in one or two more paintings before the end of July; I have a good deal more of freelance work coming up and will be buried with it for a while.

Hope you're having a great summer wherever you are!
